FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with Unlawful Breaking Into A Motor Vehicle. the suspect lead the police on a two after chase after being discovered in one of the vehicles being burglarized:
“Around 3:30 AM on Monday morning, August 14, officers responded to the 800 block of Cumberland Street, to a call of someone burglarizing a vehicle. Officers located a subject inside a vehicles upon arrival. The subject then fled the scene on foot.
Officers then surrounded the area and after a two hour k9 track, Darayle Williams was located. Two additional vehicles were located by officers which had also been burglarized in the area.
Williams was charged with two counts of Unlawfull Breaking Into a Motor Vehicle.”
