FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged in the attempted robbery of an ATM machine:
Jermaine Cortez Roney Jr.
“On June 20, 2024, at approximately 4:00 AM, Florence Patrol Officers responded to an alarm at a bank located in the 2900 block of Florence Blvd.
Upon their arrival, they discovered that an individual had attempted to break into the ATM. After reviewing the security footage, the officers were able to obtain a photo of the suspect.
Subsequently, Detectives identified the man in the surveillance footage as Jermaine Cortez Roney Jr. He was apprehended and charged with attempted theft of property in the first degree and possession of burglary tools.”
