Florence Newton departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2014, at the age of 81 years, 9 months, 10 days.
Florence was born in Ashland, Maine on April 17, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank and Louise McFarland Rushnal. She had worked for ITT Telecommunications in Corinth, Mississippi for over 30 years and at Design Team in Savannah, Tennessee. She loved flowers and her cat, Heidi, and she was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi.
Florence is survived by her children, Teresa A. Newton Wilson of Jackson, Tennessee and Terry R. Newton of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Geraldine Long of Ashland, Maine; brothers, Clifford Rossignal, Ronnie Rushnal, and Warren Rushnal all of Ashland, Maine; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson, Lindsey Wilson, Amanda Newton, and Clint Newton; great grandchildren, Leighla Wood and Annalise Cox.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lynwood Rushnal; sisters, Margaret Rushnal and Dorothy Rushnal; and her uncle, Ivan Rushnal.
