FLORENCE-On August 1, 2021, the Florence Police Department responded to a call of service where an individual wanted to report being a victim of a sex offense.
Daniel Story
The male victim said he was sexually assaulted while he was sleeping. The suspect was identified as Daniel Story, 43, of Florence, Alabama. The case was presented to the Lauderdale County Grand Jury.
The Grand Jury decided to indict Story for Sodomy 1st Degree. Story encountered law enforcement in Ohio. Story was extradited to Lauderdale County and is currently confined at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. He has no bond pending an Aniahโs Law Hearing.
Story is innocent until proven guilty.
