Dusty Ray Jaynes
FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a press release concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been indicted with Rape 1st:
“Dusty Ray Jaynes, of Florence, was indicted by a Lauderdale County Grand Jury and arrested Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The incident occurred in August of 2021.
Florence Police originally received a call from female victim who said she was raped at River Heritage Park. Officers got medical treatment for the victim and identify the suspect as Jaynes and located him. Detectives responded and interviewed the victim. They later went to the scene and collected evidence. They also interviewed Jaynes and executed a search warrant at his house.
The case was presented to the Lauderdale County Grand Jury and he was indicted for RAPE 1st. Jaynes is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center and has a $60,000 bond.
Dusty Ray Jaynes is presumed innocent until proven guilty”
