Florence man in good condition after Leighton automobile double-fatality

William Robinson is transported to ECM Hospital after accident.

HUNTSVILLE – Florence resident, William Robinson is in good condition at Huntsville Hospital. Robinson was the third passenger in a Malibu that hit a dump truck yesterday near Leighton. His two fellow-occupants of the Chevy, Christopher and Tracy Graham, of Decatur were killed when their car flipped over after the collision.

Robinson was first transported to ECM Hospital for emergency medical care. According to an ECM spokesman, it was decided to transport the victim to a higher level of care facility for observation. He was originally to be sent first to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, but was transported by ambulance to Huntsville for observation, as his condition was actually better than originally expected.

The accident happened Tuesday afternoon on Highway 20. The car, driven by Christopher Graham, collided with the a large dump truck that was crossing Highway 20 at Sockwell Lane. The driver of the dump truck, Charles Hall, 57, of Killen was not injured.

Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the circumstances of the accident.
