FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued statement concerning an assault that took place on Wednesday in the 400 block of South Court Street:
“On Wednesday, December 28, 2022, just after 2:00 P.M. Florence Police responded to a business in the 400 block of South Court Street to the report of an assault.
Brian Keith Hines struck a coworker in the head with a metal bar during an argument. The 39-year-old victim was transported to North Alabama Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries and released.
On Thursday, December 29, 2022, Hines came to the police department to turn himself in. After speaking with detectives, Hines was charged with Assault in the Second Degree. He was booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center and has a $2,500 bond.
