Florence Juanita Shipp Sanders went home to be with Jesus on May 9, 2022. Florence was born on March 17, 1938, to Clyde and Lola Lee Marcum Shipp. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dixon Sanders; son, Jerald Sanders both of Corner, AL; daughter, Renee Sanders McCreless (Marc) of Warrior, AL; grandson, Brian Sanders of Semmes; sisters, Mildred Haywood and Elizabeth McPherson both of Hanceville, AL, Edna Mims, San Diego, CA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Florence is preceded in death by her parents; Clyde and Lola Shipp and her brother, Melvin “Buddy” Shipp. Florence was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Family was very important to her. She loved her flower garden and enjoyed puzzles, reading, listening to music, watching westerns and traveling. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm on May 12, 2022 at Mt. Zion Church in Warrior, AL. The funeral service will begin at
2 pm with burial following in the adjoining cemetery. Dr. Sammie Reid and Rev. Jacob Elliott will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the Mt.
