Florence Evelyn Wamsley Parsons, 88, of Florence, passed away July 10, 2016 after a brief illness. She was a member of North Wood United Methodist Church.Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2016 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tom Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Greenview Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Myrtle Lowery Wamsley; and husband, James H. “Bill” Parsons.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Joy Parsons; son, Dr. James W. Parsons (Amanda); and granddaughters, Aubrey Parsons Fields (Andrew), and Rylee Elizabeth Parsons.
Pallbearers will include: Joe Beasley, Tommy Beasley, Andrew Fields, Neal Jeter, Mike Russell, and Reece Stewart.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
