Florence City Schools purchases 'The Falcon Feeder' truck | rocketcitynow.com  FLORENCE-Beginning Tuesday, June 7, Florence City Schools will begin its Summer Feeding Program, offering packaged meals for families in different communities.
The Child Nutrition Program team can once again be found on the Falcon Feeder food truck that the district unveiled in 2021. In 2020 when COVID-19 forced schools to close, Florence City Schools launched the Feeding the Falcons Initiative, which allowed families to pick up meals from locations around the city.
The Falcon Feeder continued that mission in 2021 by bringing the meals to the families instead. This year’s schedule is scaled back from last year’s, but the mission remains the same, to see that no child goes hungry during summer.

The Falcon Feeder will distribute meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 7 through June 30. Listed below are the locations and times. CNP Coordinator Tara Talmage will be available for interviews on Tuesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 9, at Hermitage Oaks at 1:15; if you’re able to cover the distribution, let me know what day works your schedules.
