Florence Announces New Police Chief Mike Holt

Chief Holt’s new position is effective immediately. With 28 years of experience and leadership at the Florence Police Department as well as instructor experience at NWSCC and UNA, Chief Holt is well-

equipped to handle the demands of his new position. He has dedicated his life to the protection of our citizens and has received numerous awards and honors along the way.

We are happy to have an individual with Chief Holt’s experience and expertise,and we look forward to working with him as head of the Police Department. ~ City of Florence

Today, the City of Florence Civil Service Board promoted Deputy Chief Mike Holt to the rank of Chief of Police. The employees and administration wish to congratulate Chief Holt on his promotion and express their best wishes for his future service to our community in this role.  Chief Holt began his career in law enforcement here in January of 1996.
