Flora Williamson Profile Photo Flora Mary Williamson, 99, of Moulton, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her children. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 04, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Andy Coffey officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. A meal for the family and friends will be at the adjoining church immediately following the burial.

Born on June 9, 1924 in Bergholz, Ohio to the late Freddie and Eva Robb Beadnell, Flora’s favorite job was being a Mommy. She was also proud to have been a “Rosie the Rivetor” in Ohio at Curtis and Wright during World War II while her husband served in the Navy. Together, they were Foster Parents to over 100 children in West Virginia and Alabama, receiving the Foster Parents of the Year Award in Alabama two times.

Survivors include her 11 children, Eva (Paul) Moyers, Karen Hollenbeck, Freddie (Deanna) Williamson, Donna Diamond, David (Paula) Williamson, Nancy (Bill) Little, Timmy (Teresa) Williamson, Marti (Jef Poss) Evans, Noah (Sissy) Williamson, Ruthy (Rickey) Fike, Becky (Kenny) Garrison; daughters-in-law, Tilly Williamson and Trisha Williamson; 36 grandchildren; 88 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; four great-great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Flora was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Harry Duckworth Williamson; parents; sons, Joe Williamson, Harry Williamson, Jr., Sammy Williamson, and Danny Williamson; sons-in-law, Myron Hollenbeck and Jimmy Diamond; sisters, Inez Morrison and Betty Householder.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

The family extends special thanks to Flora’s caregiver, Annie Cross; and the nurses and staff of Encompass Hospice, especially Emily and Michelle.
