Mrs. Flora Jean Copous of Florence departed this life on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence at the age of 83 Years, 5 Months, 7 Days. She was born June 17, 1931 in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Walter Brownlow and Grace Daniel Murray. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Copous was preceded in death by husband William Earl Copous on October 29, 2012, and a brother, Laverne Murray. Mrs. Flora Jean was a homemaker and a member of the Underwood Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
She is survived by daughters, Vada Ann Barnett and her husband Edwin of Waynesboro, TN and Gail Barnett of Memphis, TN and the late Jeffrey, son, Kevin E. Copous of Florence, AL, grandchildren, Justin Barnett and his wife Kim, and Marianne Warren and her husband Ben, great grandchildren, Brogan, Hadley, Kolt, and Luke.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee with Donnie McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 25, 6:00–8:00 pm and on Wednesday, November 26, 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
