Flora Despigno Brumley, born April 12, 1926, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016. Her visitation will be Thursday, December 14, 2016 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia from 12 noon until 2 pm. A grave side service will immediately follow at 2:30 pm at Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.
Flora was a lifelong resident of Sheffield and Tuscumbia. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and friend. She loved sewing, cooking, growing beautiful roses and all animals. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscumbia, and the Tuscumbia chapter of Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vito and Mamie Despigno of Sheffield; husband, Johnnie Brumley; brothers, Victor, Vito, and Tony Despigno, and John Rogers; sisters, Frances Goodman and Ellen Hepler.
She is survived by her children, John R. Brumley of Florence, Elizabeth Brumley McWilliams (Chris) of Tuscumbia, and Angie Brumley Cobb (Steve) of Gardendale; granddaughter, Amanda Parker (Matt); great granddaughter, Ava Parker of Tuscumbia; numerous nieces and nephews.
