Flint A. Steele Flint A. Steele, aged 83, was born on December 20, 1940, in Fulton, MS, and passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2024. Flint was a dedicated manager with South Central Bell, where he worked until his retirement after 35 years of service. He was a proud member of the Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Iuka and served his country with honor in the Navy, cherishing the opportunity to travel around the world.

Flint was an avid gardener who found relaxation in tending to his plants. He had a passion for tractors and antique farm equipment, as well as woodworking and building. He was also a member of the Iuka Flywheel Tractor Club.

Flint is survived by his two daughters, Ann Marlar (Coney) and Bea Ortiz (Billy), all of Iuka, MS; two granddaughters, Ashley Wren (Tim) of Rienzi, MS, and Brittany Terry (Jonathan) of Tupelo, MS; two great-grandchildren, Raylee and Parker Wren of Rienzi, MS; and two sisters, Barbara Jean House of Fulton, MS, and Kathleen Davis of Smithville, MS, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Chris Steele, his parents, Albert and Marie Steele, and his brother, James Steele.

Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Nathaniel Bullard. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service times. Flint will be laid to rest with full military honors at Poplar Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jon Terry, Tim Wren, Dewey Marlar, Robert Farr, Matthew Steele, Sammy Steele, Joseph Marlar, and Jimmy Whitfield.
