Fleeta Hope Taylor Holt Fleeta Hope Taylor Holt, age 73, a resident of Culleoka, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Steven Holt officiating.  Burial will follow at Cross Bridges Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on June 2, 1951, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, Fleeta was the daughter of the late Claude Taylor and the late Clara Belle Birchfield.  She dedicated many years of her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Maury Regional Medical Center, where she provided compassionate care to countless patients. She enjoyed spending her time attending auctions and collecting Pyrex glassware. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, a time she cherished deeply, surrounded by her loved ones. An avid bowler, she met the love of her life, Charles, at the bowling alley, and they shared 56 years of a wonderful marriage. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; her family was always at the heart of everything she did.  A talented singer, she found great joy in performing with the New Life Singers Gospel Quartet. She also loved visiting the Smoky Mountains and camping, enjoying the serenity and beauty of nature. She was also an enthusiastic collector of nutcrackers.

 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Charles Holt; son, John (Denise) Holt; daughter, Gayle (Ron) Blocker; grandchildren, Thomas Holt, James Holt and Taylor (Mike) Nejman; great grandchild, Bradley Nejman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Taylor; and her sisters, Juanita Cannon and Faye Williams.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Holt, Mike Nejman, Brian Holt, John Holt, Darren Bobo, Mike Johnson, Ron Blocker and James Holt.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Cannon, Jimmy Cannon and Jimmy Massey.
