Fidel Seja Rodriguez

Fidel Seja Rodriguez, age 90, husband of Rosa Rodriguez, and a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.

 

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Dan Reehil officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, with the Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on April 24, 1934, in Lyons, Kansas, Fidel was the son of the late Anacleto Rodriguez and the late Guadalupe Seja Rodriguez. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Rosa Reveles on July 5, 1959, and together they had four children. He was a member of the Local 853 Steel Union. He found pleasure in traveling, enjoyed all sports, and loved music. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Perry (Donna) Rodriguez of California, Markus Rodriguez of Columbia, TN, Paul (Maria) Rodriguez of Spring Hill, TN, daughter, Stacy (Carlos) Verduzco of Hawaii, sister, Frances Rodriguez of California, grandchildren, Carlos Verduzco, Allison Rodriguez, Emily Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez, Anthony (Karla) Rodriguez, Nicole Rodriguez, Vivian Rodriguez, Gabriel Verduzco, Isabella Rodriguez, great grandchildren, Jazmyn O’Neal, Lilian Rodriguez, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.

 

Pallbearers will be Perry Rodriguez, Markus Rodriguez, Paul Rodriguez, Carlos Verduzco, Daniel Rodriguez, and Anthony Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers will include Carlos Verduzco and Gabriel Verduzco.
