Fayrene Stancil Pounders, age 86, Spruce Pine, passed away on Monday, May 01, 2017 at her residence.
The visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 03, 2017 at Mount Hebron Baptist Church, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Bobby Stancil and Bro. Jerome Sherrill. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Stancil; mother, Essie Stancil; sisters, Irma Moody, Vernette Albrecht; brothers, Dorsey Stancil and Hudon Stancil. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 71 years, Julian O’Neal Pounders; her children, Margaret Holden, Charles Pounders (wife, JoAnn), Kenny Pounders (wife, June); 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Corey Pounders, Brody Pounders, Chris Lynch, Sam Lynch, Sawyer Lynch, Casey Pounders, Allan Hallmark, and Jason Burcham.
