Faye Rushing Profile Photo Faye Rushing entered her heavenly home on January 16, 2024, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital at the age 79.

She was born on November 2, 1944, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Helen Brown Collins.  She was married to Virgil Leon Rushing who preceded her in death in 2012.  Faye was known by many in the community as a hairdresser with the Magic Mirror where she met two of her life-long friends that became family, Linda and Karon.  Later in life is where the adventures of the Two Silly Sisters began.  Many tall tales and stories can be told from there, but some can’t.  The bond and adventures she shared with her sister brought fun and laughter that was unimaginable. Faye loved and lived life to the fullest, where every day was a new adventure.  She loved her family.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Her life was filled with lots of laughter, travels and amazing stories.

She is survived by her daughter, Alison Griffin of Jackson, TN, her sister, Sarah Dahlstrom and husband Richard “Dick” of Jackson, TN and a brother, Chris Collins and wife Patricia of Jackson, TN along with six grandchildren, Emily McConnell (Justin), Abby Boone, Brent Rushing (Kennedi), Lauren Rhodes (Scotty), Amber Ward (Thomas) and Scarlet Smith (Jeff).

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Rushing, her brother, Hilliard Collins and her granddaughter, Anna Marie Boone.

SERVICES:  A service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024, in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Greg Gilbreath officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.

The family will be receiving family and friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until the service time at 2:00 p.m.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Randall Butler, David Dray, Clint Collins, Kazz Young. Mike Blackwell and Don Chisim

Faye’s impact on the lives she touched will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
