Faye Pipkin, age 89, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Christian Care Center of Medina, with her family by her side.
She was born on April 7, 1935, in Henderson, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Millard and Wilma Patterson Maness.
Faye lived a life rich in love, creativity, and dedication to her family. For over twenty-four years, Faye served as Cash Office Manager with Goldsmith’s, where she was known for her remarkable work ethic and commitment to excellence. Throughout her career, she built lasting relationships and left a positive mark on those who worked with her. Faye was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an excellent decorator, with a keen eye for aesthetics that brought beauty into her home and the lives of those around her. Her love for painting and arranging flowers showcased her artistic flair, making her home a welcoming haven. Gatlinburg, TN, was a cherished getaway for Faye, where she found joy in nature and relaxation.
Family was at the heart of Faye’s life. She cherished each moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fully engaging in their many activities and celebrations. Faye’s legacy will live on through her beloved children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hardee (David Hardee, deceased) of Jackson, TN; her son, Jeff Cox and wife Ann of Selmer, TN; her brothers, Garry Maness and wife Jane; Ravon and (Sarah, deceased) Maness, Billy (deceased) and wife Lynda Maness, and Denny and (Bernice, deceased) Maness, and her sister, Elsie and Amo Smith (deceased).
Faye was a proud grandmother to Brandon Cox and wife Lisa, Erin Craig and husband Chad, Brian Weir and wife Danielle, Heather Williams, and Laura Beth Hardee. Her great-grandchildren included Paxton Weir, Aidan Robertson, Shelby Robertson, Johnathan Cox, Blake Cox, Nathan Cox, Ansley Roberts and husband Logan, Katie Craig, and Carter Craig. Faye was also blessed with great-great-grandchildren Mason Cox and Beckett Roberts.
Along with her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, R. D. Pipkin in 2021.
SERVICES: A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, with Rev. Garry Campbell and Rev. Daphane Moses officiating. The family is requesting that Memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
Faye Pipkin’s warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
