Faye Ellen Montgomery Digby, 88, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the Meadows. She was born July 26, 1925, in Itawamba County to M. E. “Mannie” and Gertrude Graham Montgomery. She was a retired teacher after 30 years of service and was a devoted pastor’s wife for 62 years. She was instrumental in the Christ for the Crisis radio and TV ministry for 57 years. She traveled and ministered in all 50 states and around the world. She was the 1982 recipient of the Itawamba County Good Citizen award. She was an avid reader and book lover, and her favorite pastime was preparing meals for her family. She always had a smile on her face and influenced many people throughout her life and ministry.
Services will be at 11 a. m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Fulton with Bro. Casey Hughes, Bro. Kenny Digby, and Danny Digby officiating. Burial will be in the Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Bro. Eugene Digby; two sons, Danny Digby (Kathy) of Fulton and Bro. Kenny Digby (Becky) of Corinth; one sister, Pat Davis (Ken) of Chicago; five grandchildren, Jason Digby (Susanne), Stan Digby (Stephanie), Bailey Digby, Kaleb Digby, and Austin Digby; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jordan, and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, J. C. Montgomery; and a daughter-in-law, Betty Ann Moore Digby.
