Fannie Y. Miller, age 89 of Middleton, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Lynnfield Place in Selmer, TN.
A native of the Rogers Spring community of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late William Mansel and Lucille Cardwell Yopp. Mrs. Miller was a 1948 graduate of Middleton High School and moved to Memphis around 1950. She attended business school and subsequently went to work for the Defense Depot in Memphis as a transportation secretary, retiring in 1985 after 30 years of service. After moving back to Middleton, she worked as a secretary for Yopp’s C-Stores.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ for the past six years. She was a faithful and active member of the Church of Christ having taught Sunday School and done mission work in the past. Fannie was a lady who possessed a “Christ-like” spirit and always greeted folks with smile. Her love and support for her children saw them all through the hard times of life.
She leaves her son, Glenn Travis Miller of Middleton and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Gail Miller; and two brothers, Jerome and Warren Yopp.
