Fannie Lou Howell Graves – Obituary

Fannie-Graves-1465549232Fannie Lou Howell Graves of Waynesboro, TN was born January 24, 1927 in Perry County, TN, the daughter of the late George Stephen and Mary Ann Tune Howell. She was united in marriage to Walton T. Graves on May 14, 1945 and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1973.

Mrs. Graves retired from Genesco Manufacturing after 30 years and from WCHS as an office aid after 20 years and was a member of the Green River Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mrs. Graves departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 4 Months, 16 Days.

She is survived by a son, Rick Graves and wife, Marcy of Tallahassee, FL; a daughter, Janet Staggs and husband, Larry of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Tavis Staggs and wife, Amanda, Kevin Staggs and wife, Jill and Rebecca Lowman and husband, Vince; great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Sophie Staggs, Brayden and Shayna Kay Staggs and Ethan, Garrett and Reagan Lowman; a brother, James Howell and wife, Darlos of Linden, TN.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Graves was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde and Clifford Howell and sisters, Vesta Lineberry and Gladys Paschall.

Services will be Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Cal Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2 pm to service time at the funeral home.
