Fannie Lou Aycock Roden, age 82, of Leighton, died Monday, February 29, 2016.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Seth Hood officiating. She will be buried in Glendale Cemetery.
Mrs. Roden was a member of New Sockwell Baptist Church and the American Cancer Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Roden, her parents, Robert and Lula Mae Aycock and siblings, Bobby Aycock and Pat Aycock.
She is survived by her son, John Roden (Rick Fancy); daughter, Vicki Cunningham (Bobby); brother, Billy Aycock (Donna); sister Dot Kimbrough(Lawrence); grandchildren, Ashley Bowling, Teri Cunningham, Addison Fancy; great-grandchild, Dorian Bowling.
Pallbearers are Kevin Sockwell, Ricky Hannah, Zac Kimbrough, Michael Aycock, Paul Jeffreys and Greg Bender.
Honorary Pallbearers are JW Jeffreys and Tony Gargis.
Mrs. Roden’s family would like to express special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, especially Kim, Jeff and Nancy and to her caregiver Darlene Hill for her special care.
