Mrs. Fannie Lee Short, age 79 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at her home.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joe David Moore officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m.
Mrs. Short is survived by her daughter, Conni Hall (Webb); grandchildren, Matthew Gray (Grace), Winn Hall, and Claire Hall; very special sister and caretaker, Margaret Deerman; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Short Gray; parents, William “Bud” & Bertha Wells Russell; sisters, Alice Russell, Augusta Wynn, Nell Helton, Shirley Smart, and Helen Stubblefield; and brothers, William “Bruce” Russell (Bet) and George Bodie Russell.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you her caregivers: her neighbor, Joanie Rhodes, Heartlite Hospice and Ariana Jenkins and Amy Smith.
