Fannie Atkinson – Obituary

Fannie-Atkinson-1420108498Fannie Atkinson was born August 26, 1941 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Amo Sheffield and Willie McCann Gray.

She was united in marriage to T. L. Atkinson on September 9, 1960.

Mrs. Atkinson was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in the flower business for over 35 years and was the owner for over 15 years of Fannie’s Florist. She was a member of the Center Ridge United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed going out to eat, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Atkinson departed this life on December 31, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 4 Months, 5 Days. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, T. L. Atkinson of Selmer, TN; three sons, Mike Atkinson and wife Julie, Jeff Atkinson, and Jason Atkinson and wife Sonya; three sisters, Becky McDowell and husband Eddie, Phyllis Robinson, and Donna Ludwiczek and husband Seppi; two brothers, Johnny Gray and wife Joy, and Stanley Gray; four grandchildren, Matthew, Casey, Abbi, and Sloan Atkinson; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Atkinson was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lynn Atkinson; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Robinson; a grandson, Wesley Atkinson.
