Ezra ‘Cowboy’ Wilson – Obituary

Ezra-Wilson-1434901362Mr. Ezra ‘Cowboy’ Wilson, age 71, of Selmer, departed this life Saturday morning, June 20, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

A native of Hardeman County, he worked as a former truck driver for Warner Ross Trucking Company and had worked over 40 years as a carpenter for Larry Vandiver. He was born May 25, 1944, son of the late William Mitchell Wilson and Fannie Lee Ervin Wilson, living most of his life in Hardeman County and the last two years in Selmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Wilson was a member of Shandy Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Rainey and Ludell Young, both of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William ‘Hoochie-Pap’ Wilson in 2012. The family requests memorial donations in Mr. Wilson’s name be made to Shandy Baptist Church.
