MONTGOMERY-Alabama’s economy continues to grow stronger through the relationships we build — not just across our state, but around the world. This month, we expanded that reach with the launch of new business development offices in Tokyo, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea.

These offices will serve as Alabama’s frontline ambassadors, connecting our economic development team with investors, exporters, and partners in two of the world’s most advanced markets.

Japan and South Korea have long been vital to Alabama’s growth. Together, their companies have invested nearly $20 billion here, creating thousands of high-quality jobs and deepening our industrial strength. Establishing offices in both countries ensures Alabama remains visible, competitive and ready to grow alongside our global partners.

In Japan, Alabama will be represented by Tractus, a globally respected advisory firm with decades of experience helping companies and governments succeed across Asia. In South Korea, we’ve partnered with Samil PwC, the nation’s leading professional services firm, whose team will support Alabama exporters and engage Korean companies looking to invest in the U.S.

Together with our established European office in Stuttgart, Germany, these new international locations give Alabama a strong and coordinated presence in three of the world’s top economic regions.

Alabama’s story is increasingly a global story — one built on partnership, opportunity, and shared success. By investing in these connections, we’re creating new pathways for growth and securing a stronger economic future for communities across our state.
