Exie Ozell Chaput, 79 of Lincoln Park, Michigan, formerly of Ardmore, died on Friday, November 8, 2013, in Lincoln Park, MI.
Born Thursday, January 25, 1934 in Lincoln County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Bunyon Mitchell and the late Rosezetty Randolph Mitchell. She loved to take walks, crocheting, shopping, spending time with her family, and listening to bluegrass music with friends. She was a member of Oakwood Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alan Chaput.
Surviving are sons, Billy Maddox of Lincoln Park, MI, Wendall Maddox of Lincoln Park, MI, Robert Maddox of Taylor, MI and Ronald Maddox of Inkster, MI, daughter, Patricia Hines of West Branch, MI, brothers, Frank Mitchell of Athens, AL, Gordon Mitchell of Ardmore, AL, David Mitchell of Athens, AL, Larry Jr Mitchell of Elkmont, AL, Joe Mitchell of Ardmore, AL and Charlie Mitchell of Ardmore, AL, sisters, Bertha Paulsen of Athens, AL, Emmie Mae Layne of Taft, TN, Eva Hasting of Ardmore, AL, Rosemary Poole of Fayetteville, TN and Dorothy Ann Muchinski of Tyler, TX.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Douglas Eubanks and Bro. Dale Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
