Evis Eli Hyche, 87 of Forestdale, passed away on February 12, 2024. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired Surveyor, having worked for the State of Alabama Highway Department for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Oscar and Mary Hyche and his son-in-law, Michael Land.
Survivors include his son, Stephen Michael Jones; daughter, Elizabeth Land; grandchildren, Kristi Smith, Allen Smith, Blake Land (Amanda), Kassandra Zuckerman and Stephen Michael Jones, II; special great-daughter, Grace Smith; seven great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday Feb. 16, 23 at 11:00 am at Union Chapel Methodist Church in Cordova. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
