Jeremichah Burney and his mother, Tina

TUSCUMBIA – The Quad Cities Daily was taking care of some business the other day at Service One Transport, when company president, Kelly Robinson told us about a very special young man who was at their office visiting his mother. She said that we would really enjoy meeting him.

We walked around the corner of the building where his mother worked, and there he was. A handsome fellow, Jeremicah Burney, 19 years old, and about to graduate from Deshler High School the very next day. His mother, Tina, told us that Jeremicah, for all his life, has been powering through a serious genetic condition, Williams Syndrome. It’s a rare condition, and Jeremicah wasn’t supposed to get this far… At least, according to medical knowledge. But there he was. Big smile on his face. Big smile on Tina’s face. Graduating from High School!

So we simply had to take a couple of photos of Jeremicah and his Mom to show the world that, with enough faith, quality medical care, and downright grit… You can do just about anything that you set your heart to.

Congratulations, Jeremicah!
