Evelyn Wooten, 82 of Union Grove passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at her residence. She was born March 9, 1942, in Limestone County, the daughter of Henry Newton McLemore and Catherine Nanny Lankster McLemore. She was married to Wayne S. Wooten who passed away March 31, 2006.
She is survived by a daughter: Rebecca B. Cataldo; sisters: Jannette Broughton (Gerald) and Mae Vanhooser; granddaughters: Shannon Marie Cataldo and Winter Lynn Cataldo; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded by her husband: Wayne Wooten; Parents: Henry and Catherine McLemore; brothers: John Wallace McLemore, John Henry McLemore, Bobby Joe McLemore, Lloyd McLemore, Rodney McLemore, Conney McLemore, Erskin McLemore and Denzle McLemore.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Tim Lanier officiating. The burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
