Evelyn Thomas, the walking lady, was born September 19, 1925 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Isaac Solomon and Letie Ann Marlar Thomas.
Miss Thomas was a retired restaurant cook in Selmer. She departed this life on October 27, 2012 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 1 Month, 8 Days.
She is survived by three nephews, Hank Thomas of Waterloo, AL, Buck and Jack Thomas, both of Memphis, TN; a cousin, Freddie Thomas of Selmer and a host of friends who mourn her passing.
