She is survived by her husband Steve Stanley of Madison, AL; children Robert Sutton (Katie) of Mableton, GA, Daniel Sutton (Maria) of Athens, AL, Rebecca Rose (Jason) of Athens, AL, Brent Stanley (Ernestina) of Missouri, and Scott Stanley (Jennette) of Texas; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Glenn Gregory of Athens, AL, and Joe Gregory (Linda) of Florence, AL.
Mrs. Stanley is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Doris Gregory, and her first husband, George Sutton.
The funeral for Mrs. Stanley will be Monday, February 5th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Jeremiah McElyea officiating. Visitation will be Monday, February 5th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Fabian Napoleon, Robert Sutton, Daniel Sutton, Scott Stanley, Brent Stanley, and Joseph Gregory, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harlon Napoleon, Glenn Gregory, Joseph Gregory, and Ed Riley. Burial will be at O’Neal Cemetery.
Mrs. Stanley was a member of The Church of Christ. She loved flowers, birds, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
