Evelyn May Barnett Hargett, 86, of Florence, passed away July 28, 2012, at Hellen Keller Hospital following a brief illness. Visitation will be 12 noon until service at 2pm Tuesday July 31, 2012, in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Rev. Stanley Hargett officiating. Burial will be in Tri Cities Memorial Gardens.
She worked in housekeeping at ECM Hospital and was a member of Centerhill Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents, Calvin William Taylor and Jessie Lee Bowling; brothers, Edward Taylor, Ray Taylor, Lester Taylor and Leon Taylor; two grandsons. Survivors are her children: Coleman L. Barnett, Johnny L. Barnett, Darrell E. Barnett, Donald L. Barnett, Charles W. Barnett, Evelyn Rae Barnett and Patricia Goodman; sisters, Thelma Coberly of California and Betty Jo Gross, Washington; thirteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Barnett, Jerome Goodman, Ray Barnett, Sam Warden, Dill McKinney, Chantrhy Barnett, David McKinney and Barry Barnett.
