Mrs. Evelyn Marie Stephens, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by her family in Scottsboro, AL on May 11, 2024.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years H. Eugene Stephens, Father and Mother- Claud and Vertie Parker, Brothers Arnol, Lendon, and David Parker.
Survived by her 5 children Sharon Stephens, Delores (Spring) Stephens, Alison (Allen) Paradise, Dana (John) McLain, Josh (Dina) Stephens. 8 grandchildren – Daniel (Darla) Hall, Olivia Sutton, Jessica Sutton, Lily Sutton, Alexandria (Dakota) Parrish, Hayden Paradise, Morgan McLain, Mason McLain. 7 Great Grandchildren – Journey Hall, Judah Hall, Aiden Hambrick, Kaylee Sharp, Rachel Moore, Eli Knight, and Isaiah Parrish; Sister — Maxine Warren; Beloved in laws — Joan Parker, Betty Parker, Carolyn Parker, Margie Stephens, Glenda (Bobby) Carden, Mitchell (Charlotte) Stephens, Wanda Thomas, Randall (Angie) Stephens; Special neighbors — Craig, Candi, Dylan, and Chase Bickers; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Daniel Hall, Hayden Paradise, Dakota Parrish, Mark Sutton, Craig Bickers, Dylan Bickers, Chase Bickers.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 5pm-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm all at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Davis and Rev. James “Totchie” McLain officiating. Burial will be at Hytop Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service.
