Evelyn adored the outdoors and working with her flower gardens. She thoroughly loved spending time on the Elk River. She found great peace in nature. She loved sewing and canning and was an excellent seamstress by all accounts. She had a tender heart for the less fortunate and was always willing to help anyone anytime she could. She loved and strongly believed in a hard day’s work. She loved her family immensely and was loved by all who knew her. She had an amazing sense of humor, a sharp wit, and was captivatingly entertaining. She would spend hours telling stories to her family of her and her sisters growing up and all the adventures they shared. She had a very creative soul and had many interests and hobbies that she enjoyed in her spare time. She worked for Limestone County from 1968 – 2007 starting out as a part time clerk and retiring as the first Limestone County Mapper.

In lieu of flowers please considering making contributions to Hospice of Limestone County or Alzheimer’s organizations.
