Evelyn Jean Whitehead, 78, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Friday, November 18, 2022, in her home. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, taking care of her house and her family, which she adored. When she was at home, no matter what she was doing, she had a gameshow on. While her favorite was The Price is Right, she was happy to watch any of them. She also really enjoyed going to the casinos and playing bingo. Mrs. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Carl Whitehead (Tracey) and David Whitehead (Kathy); her grandchildren, Carlena, Kason, Loren, Jeana, Natalie, and Norah Whitehead; her sisters, Blondia Strachan and Dot Timbes; her brothers, Ray and Billy McKee; and a host of other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Whitehead; her son, Loyd Whitehead; her parents, Clay and Mary Lou McKee; and several of her siblings. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. James Rich. Interment will follow in Dennis Memory Gardens.
