Evelyn Evans, 85, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on April 7th, 2024. She was born on October 20th, 1938, in Limestone County, Alabama, to William A. and Mary Jane (Rochell) Evans
Miss Evans is survived by her sister Merle Shockley of Athens, AL; niece Tona Haggermaker (Jerry) of Athens, AL; great-niece Chelesa Haggermaker; great-nephew Jace Haggermaker (Carly); and great-great-nephews Jack Haggermaker and Tate Haggermaker.
Miss Evans is preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Jane Evans; and brother-in-law James “Bobby” Shockley.
Miss Evans loved her family, friends, and the Branch Creek community. She also loved animals, both real and stuffed.
There are no services planned at this time.
Burial will be at Pettusville Cemetery.
