Mrs. Evelyn Cole Bennett, age 87, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.
Evelyn was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She was a long-time resident of Mitchell-Hollingsworth where she had many friends.
The visitation for family and friends will be at Elkins Funeral Home Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Florence Cemetery with the Reverend Greg Barnett officiating.
She is survived by sons Tommy Bennett, of Tyler, Texas, and Mitchell Bennett, of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Mildred Hanback, of Florence; several nieces; and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Kyle, Jeff Hanback, Sam Hanback, Greg Robinson, Tommy Hanback and David Hanback.
The family would like to thank Kelly Bowling for the excellent care given to Mrs. Bennett.
