Evelyn C. Jordan was born November 6, 1926 in Counce, tN the daughter of the late Marvin and Effie Glover Counce.
She was united in marriage to Joe Jordan on June 22, 1946. Mr. Jordan preceded her in death on August 13, 2009.
Mrs. Jordan was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends. She loved to quilt and was a member of the Shiloh Quilters Club.
Her memory will live on for years to come in the beautiful quilts she made for family and friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Martha K. Sowell and husband Rickey of Counce, TN; four grandchildren, Brad Jordan, Leigh White, Julie Sowell Hopper, Joanie Sowell; seven great grandchildren, Alexander Jordan, Benjamin Jordan, Jacob White, Jordan White, Milli Hopper, Maxdon Hopper, Whitney Provence. Also survived by a niece, Janie Belue of Black Mountain, NC along with a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by a son, Joe Marvin Jordan; a sister, Lucille Belue; a brother, Joe Dorman Counce.
