Eva Paulette Massey, 77, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at Brookwood Medical Center in Homewood, AL. She was born in Franklin County, AL and worked in garment manufacturing. She was a member of Pentecostal Faith Church where she served as secretary. Paulette loved her family and her church family.
Services will be Friday, October 25, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Bradley Long officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, October 24, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Rev. Jimmy Massey; her children, Paul Massey (Julie), Deanette Goza (Tim) and Shannon Massey (Emily); grandchildren, Dillon Massey (Ashley), Cody Goza (Chelsea), Nicole Aday (Dillon), Lexi Massey and Connor Massey; great-grandchildren, Cohen Massey, Opal Aday, Fisher Goza, Annie Aday, Kenleigh Rogers and Mary Ann Massey; one sister, Patty Long (Jeff) and one brother, Wayne Criswell (Terri).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Criswell and Opal Dees Criswell Storey; a daughter, Tammy Massey and three brothers, Roger, Steve and Charlie Criswell.
Pallbearers will be Cody Goza, Dillon Massey, Dillon Aday, Zach Criswell, Jeff Long and Brandon Long.
