Eva Nell Brown Naramore December 29, 1920-June 25, 2021

Today our mother made her journey to Heaven’s gates. There will not be a day that we will not think of her in some way or manner and we continue to thank God for blessing us with a mother who loved our daddy, her children, and God above all else! Her loving memories will be kept alive in the hearts of everyone who knew her. What a blessing she was to anyone lucky enough to cross her path. What a life well lived. Eva Nell Brown Naramore, 100 years of age, of Jasper, went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2021, at her residence. Family will receive friends Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, June 28, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Sixth Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens. Levi Sides and Donnell Brown will officiate. Eva Nell was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of Christ and previously a member of Cedar Creek Church of Christ, author of poetry books; “Smiles and Tears Through the Years,” “Under His Wings,” “Honey From the Heart,” “Life, Love, and Nature,” and a children’s Bible book. For many years Eva Nell was a substitute teacher for Oakman, Martin, and Parrish Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manley and Eula Brown; husband, Elmer “Bud” Naramore; daughter, Glenda Knight; son-in-law, James “Jim” Hogan; brothers, James L. Brown, Deward L. Brown, and Lester Brown; sister-in-law, Doris Brown. She is survived by her daughters, Sybil Hogan and Kathy Russell (David); sons, Maeburn Naramore (Peggy) and Donnie Naramore; son-in-law, Ronald Knight; grandchildren, Kendall Hogan (Tracey), Tami Gray, Randy Naramore (Karen), Ricky Naramore (Charlene), Steven Knight (Nikki), Trent Knight (Sandy), Shannon Whitley (Jeremy), Eric Naramore, Dana Abney (Clint), and Kyle Evans (Tracy); sisters, Eleanor Baggett, Betty Phelps (Richard), Jeanette Partridge (Jessie), Jimmie Curry (Eddie), and Carolyn Gurganus; sister-in-law, Violet Brown; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sixth Avenue Church of Christ or Cedar Creek Church of Christ.
