Eva Lee was born on March 1st, 1936, in Crockett County, TN. She graduated from Haywood County High School. Following graduation, she became a homemaker and then served for 15 years as Church Secretary at Liberty Grove Baptist Church, retiring in 1986. Eva Lee’s faith and family were the two most important things in her life, and she was happiest with family surrounding her. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and nana who loved deeply and in turn was deeply loved by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Fred Emison; her children Richard Emison (Susan), Anthony Emison (Cheryle), Lisa Becker (Jeff), Lynn Morris (Bill), seven grandchildren; Jay Emison (Mary), Melissa Clark (Cameron), Shelby Matthis (Jack), Josh Becker (Brittany), Matt Emison (Jordan), Jessica Hall (Zach), and Emma Morris (fiance Braden Mott), 13 great grandchildren, sister, Dale Cox (Mike), sister-in-law, Laney Sue Edwards, brother-in-law Don Hughes, and many other family members who were dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents James Elmo (JE) and Virginia Edwards; a sister, Norma Jean Hughes and a brother Lanny Edwards.
Pallbearers to serve are: Jay Emison, Cameron Clark, Josh Becker, Matt Emison, Zach Hall and Jack Matthis.
Visitation will be at George A Smith and Sons South Chapel on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm with the service to follow. There will be a private burial at Cypress Cemetery in Crockett County, TN,
