Eunice Faye Clemmons Dickerson, 81, passed away Aug. 16, 2016. Faye was retired from Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home where she served as assistant administrator for 33 years. She was secretary for Region I Nursing Home Association for many years. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family, cooking for her friends, and traveling. Her most important accomplishment was being Nana to Joshua and Jordan. Faye was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by husband, Russell Dickerson; son, Joe Dickerson (Beth), of Killen; daughter, Candace Shoemaker (Bobby), of Killen; grandchildren, Joshua Shoemaker (Britney) and Jordan Shoemaker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ben Curtis Clemmons and Nellie Lou Roberson Clemmons; brothers, W.T., Edison, B.C., David, Bobby, Jerry, Larry, and Alton Clemons; and sisters, Eula Clemons, Rachel Clemons, Virdie Springer, Louis Burgess, and Mae Harris.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Joshua Shoemaker, Joe Dickerson, and Howell Bigham officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Burgess, Charles Clemons, Rocky Holden, Ronnie Behel, Robbie Neal, and Tyler Wiley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Shoemaker, Joshua Shoemaker, the men of the congregation of Chapel Hill Church of Christ, Dennis Wiley, and Dr. David Hollis.
The family would like to thank the ECM Hospital ER and Palliative Care staff, especially Katie, Scotty, and Jessica, and would also like to especially thank the nieces and nephew for their love and help.
