Eugene V. Spiotto – Obituary

Eugene V. Spiotto, 94, of Killen passed away Friday January 5, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Elkins East Chapel from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. A service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in St. Florian.

Eugene V. Spiotto, 94, of Killen passed away Friday January 5, 2018 at his home. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Elkins East Chapel from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. A service will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in St. Florian.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Inger Bjorg Skodven ; sisters, Mary Lopez, Lucille Wren, Vera Picotti, Theresa DiGiovine; brothers, Anthony Spiotto ,Peter Spiotto, Elmer Spiotto, Pat Spiotto, Tommy Spiotto, and Robert Spiotto.

He is survived by his daughters, Rose Inger Hollis (David), and Rita Elisabeth Penhallegon (Thomas); grandchildren, Sean Hollis (Melissa Latko), Heather Hollis Simmerer (James), Dylan Ward, Alex Ward, and Thomas Penhallegon.

Mr. Spiotto was a World War II Veteran who served in the Marshall Islands. He served 26 years in the Army, Marine Corps, and Air Force combined before retiring to work in inventory management supply for the United States Civil Service.

Pallbearers will be David Hollis, M.D., Sean Hollis, Thomas G. Penhallegon, Dylan Ward, Alex Ward, Thomas E. Penhallegon, and James Simmerer.
The Family would like to give special thanks to David A. Hollis, M.D., Hisham BaAlbaki, M.D. The caring staff of Killen Clinic , Pam Erickson and Jamey Kirby.
