Eugene McCune age 79 of Athens passed away Saturday at his residence.
Mr. McCune was born February 15, 1946 in Lauderdale County, Alabama, he was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church and retired from the City of Athens.
Services will 3 pm Monday in the Chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Tim Keenum and Charles Dean officiating, burial will follow in Sardis Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 1 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include his Wife, Ivy McCune of Athens. Sons, Sidney (Kristy) McCune of Athens. Matthew (Sonja) McCune of Toney. Granddaughter, Brianna Mason. Grandsons, Nathan (Kathryn) McCune. Connor McCune and Aidan McCune. Great Granddaughter, Ivy Pearl McCune. Brother, Jesse McCune of Athens. Sister, Mary Elizabeth Patterson of Athens.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Jesse and Johnnie Bell McCune. Son, James David McCune. Three Brothers and Three Sisters.
Pallbearers will be Sidney McCune, Matthew McCune, Nathan McCune, Connor McCune, Aidan McCune and Bobby Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Patterson, Donald Patterson and Brianna Mason.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
