Funeral service for Eugene Holmes, 87, will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Reggie Corum officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Holmes died on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Falkville Health Care Center. He was born January 6, 1937, in Morgan County to Curtis Wilburn Holmes and Bertha Ann Derrick Holmes. Mr. Holmes was a Draftsman with Pugh Wright and Associates prior to retiring. He liked to go camping, fishing and playing golf. He loved Barbara, his wife of 65 years and loved his family dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Leon Holmes, Thurman Holmes and Lorene Anders.
