Eual O. “Red” Hooper, age 84, of Leoma, TN went peacefully to his heavenly home on Friday, August 08, 2025, at his home in Leoma, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, worked for Murray Ohio for over 44 years where he retired, and a member of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church. He loved baseball, spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, golfing, his martins, and having a good time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Mollie Huntley Hooper; two sisters, Eunice Cocke and Eula Mae Garner; and three brothers, Earl Hooper, Elton Hooper, and Eulan Hooper.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Martha Hunt Hooper of Leoma, TN; one son, Wendell “Bruce” Hooper (Jacinta) of Leoma, TN; two daughters, Christy Faye Prentice (Larry) and Rhonda “Boo” Brown (Richie), both of Lawrenceburg, TN; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Everett Hooper of Leoma, TN; several nieces and nephews. Those serving as pallbearers are Colby Brown, Cody Bivens, Caleb Bivens, Phil Hooper, Rex Hooper, Mike Hooper, David Hooper, Damon Deese, Dwight Garner, and Evan Fleming.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, August 11, 2025, with Greg Lee officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
