A Celebration of Life Service for Ettie Moneda Hume, 77 of Booneville, MS, will be Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 A M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow in Faith Temple Cemetery. Bro. Joseph Christian will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Hume passed away Wednesday, April, 26, 2023 at North MS Medical Center in Booneville, MS. She was born February 25, 1946 in Centralia, IL to Hurshal Myers and Lula Moneda Williams Myers. She was a homemaker and a member of Bread of Life Tabernacle. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, drawing, painting and gardening. She loved reading her bible, playing the autoharp and traveling. Ettie is survived by her son, J.D. Foster (Lisa); her daughters, Moneda Sue Duckworth (Marty), Patti Brock (Steve), Ruby Horn (Andy) and Paula Marlet Hume Christian (Joseph Dale); 11 grandchildren, Kandi, James, Kasey, Matthew, Joshua, Leah, Rachel, Danika, Jon, Ettie and Gracie; 19 great grandchildren; her sister, Patty Jean White; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Apostle James Edward Hume; her grandson, Matthew Newcomb; 2 great grandchildren, Mackenzie Brooke Owens and Daniel, Jr.; her father, Hurshal Myers; her mother, Moneda Williams Meyers and her sisters, Mildred Lorene Read, Neomi Mae Weidergreen and Pamela Sue Hudson. Pallbearers will be Devin Newcomb, Daniel Bowling, Steve Brock, Matthew Brock, Josh Kelly and Jon Hume. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Ettie Moneda Hume.
